Alanna graduated from University of Saskatchewan in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She went on to obtain her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Alberta in 2009.  Alanna spent the early years of her career working in acute care but always had an interest in hand therapy and burn injury. She has been working full time in hand therapy since 2019 and obtained her designation of Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) in 2025.

Alanna is dedicated to helping individuals of all ages recover from conditions affecting the hand and upper limb. Outside of work she is a mom of two boys and enjoys being active  and travelling with her family.
